This is my second Envi wall heater. The first one still works but not as well as it did being 11 yrs. old now. I use it to heat my bedroom and it does a real fine job of it. My husband is thinking of putting one in his “man cave” as there is no heater of any kind in that room. I love its efficiency and quietness. I highly recommend this heater for smaller rooms .
I had used the 500 watt heater for the past 10 years and it did a perfect, silent job of keeping my entire garage above freezing. Just moved into "lake-effect snow" country and decided to get a heftier version. Cannot recommend it highly enough! These heaters are just excellent--won't ever buy any other kind.

I live in a tiny house and teach tiny house design. I have recommended Envi heaters for years due to their efficiency and low profile. My tiny (240 sq ft) is heated primarily by a propane insert in a stone fireplace but I added a 500 watt Envi about 4 years ago to my bathroom to keep it more comfortable in winter. When my propane system failed, it kept the house comfortable all fall while I waited for repairs...for months. When my propane system failed again, I purchased this 1000 watt version, installed it in 30 mins and have stayed warm, despite having high ceilings and temperatures in the 20s. I use locally generate hydroelectric power so I feel better about using green energy than fossil fuels. And it could be a couple more months before the repairs on my propane system are done. Thanks for an inexpensive, easy to install yourself alternative.

great little wall heater. There's one drawback to convection heaters, If you have vaulted or high ceilings they do not perform well.

The triple-stack convection technology featured in the EnviMAX was born out of years of research and development to find a solution to effectively and safely heat a room using the smallest possible amount of electrical heating energy. This unique convection heating technology makes the EnviMAX one of the most energy-efficient electric heaters for large rooms on the market today.
Dozens of heating methods were evaluated to fine tune the EnviMAX heater, but eventually the answer was found in a naturally occurring phenomena called the "stack effect". This provided the basis for and eventually we won a patent for the final EnviMAX heater design. Natural convection, fanless heating is enhanced by simulating multiple pathways, or “stacks,” inside the EnviMAX heater and the standard Envi heater. This technology boosts the flow of cool air from the floor of a room, into the unit, and maximizes heat transfer out the top of the heater. The resulting process creates a slow-moving transfer of warm air around the room, effectively warming the occupants. Also, since this is a fanless heating element, it requires little maintenance and is completely silent, keeping ambient noise levels down.
The result is a 100% pure convection, fanless indoor heater for large rooms that uses minimal energy but also effectively warms each room in a house or office - or any room or space for that matter!
