Envi Heater Room Sizes - What’s the Right Size?

Lately,The number one question we get asked is “How big of a room cam the Envi heater work in and how hot will it get?” Here is an introduction to the heating size ratio and the temperature of the Envi Heater.

The Recommended Ratio

The Envi is designed to heat an average room of around 10 by 15 feet; this translates to roughly 130 - 150 square feet (insofar as the room is properly insulated). Our 475 watt Envi Heater was designed to heat your room to a comfortable level, even in the coldest regions. Rooms that have inadequate insulation or a lot of windows are harder to heat up, and you will need to adjust the number of heaters used accordingly. You can add as many heaters as you want to heat rooms of any size. If you choose to heat rooms with little to no insulation (or even a fully-windowed sunroom), we recommend a ratio of one Envi Heater per 60 – 80 square feet.

The Temperature Range

The general temperature range that you can expect is between about 65 - 75 degrees depending on the room size and insulation. In a normal bedroom with modern day insulation the room temperature range of the Envi is about 40 – 85 degrees. This is thanks to Envi's built-in thermostat or, alternatively, a wall thermostat.
