Behind the Design of a More User Friendly Wall Heater
19th Nov 2024
Any company can make a wall heater. But designing a wall heater that’s engineered from the ground up to be completely user-friendly? That takes a special commitment, and it’s the sort of commitment we embody here at eheat.
Our easy-to-install, energy-efficient electric heaters don’t just protect your wallet (costing mere cents per hour to run) and deliver powerful convection heating that can warm even larger rooms. They’re also designed - down to the details - for a better user experience.

Safeguarding Sleep
According to the CDC, more than 1 in 3 adults do not get enough sleep. And, according to the NHLBI, 40% of adults fall asleep inadvertently during the day, and as many as 70 million Americans struggle with some form or other of sleep disorder.
The National Council on Aging (NCOA) reports that 30% of adults struggle with some form or other of insomnia, with 10% experiencing symptoms so bad they affect their daily lives.
It’s well known that light disrupts sleep, but just how little might surprise you. Even a single candle produces enough light to disrupt your sleep.
Moreover, light suppresses melatonin production, which is responsible for helping to regulate your circadian rhythm. That’s why you’re not supposed to look at your phone before bed!
Now, it should make sense, therefore, that you should sleep in a room that is as dark as possible in order not to disrupt your sleep cycle. Our wall panel heaters are made with an auto-dimming power light and display that is better for light sleepers.
But that’s not the only thing. Other heaters overwhelmingly feature motors, fans and other blowers that produce a lot of noise - which also disrupts sleep.
Our wall heaters use double-stack convection technology, with no moving parts, making them completely silent.
You might not have thought that your choice of heating solution could impact your sleep. Well, think again!
Safer for Pets, Children and Elders (and Your Home)
Children and elders are particularly susceptible to burns from contact with hot objects, in part because of their slightly slower reaction times. Estimates suggest that while the majority of burns in children occur from contact with hot water, about 20% of them occur from contact with hot objects, like clothing irons or hot appliances.
A wall-mounted heater, naturally, presents a point of risk - not just for children and elders, but for pets as well.
But not an eheat Envi electric panel heater. Ours feature a design that is cool, not hot to the touch. About 90?, which makes it safe to touch or contact, at least for a short period of time.
Not only this, but our wall heaters are designed with an automatic thermal cutoff that shuts off power to the heater if it is removed from the wall for any reason.
This naturally has a big impact on overall safety, and not just with respect to mitigating the risk of burns arising from contact with a hot wall heater.
Space heaters, unfortunately, present an elevated risk of house fires. The Department of Energy suggests that as many as 25,000 house fires around the country are caused each year by space heaters.
Fire safety should be a priority for everyone. It certainly is for us. That’s why our heaters disconnect automatically if they’re removed from the wall - boosting safety in a big way.
Protecting Against Allergens
More than 50 million people in this country are affected by allergies; that estimate accounts for 1 in 3 adults and 1 in 4 children.
Fan-forced heaters with a blower are, unfortunately, a circulator of allergens. Granted, these systems have filters and some have disinfectants that are designed to mitigate the risk, but when you’re physically, actively circulating hot air, there’s only so much you can do.
Unless, of course, your wall heater doesn’t actively circulate the air and has no moving parts whatsoever. That typifies the double-stack convection technology of eheat Envi heaters, which do not circulate allergens.
No filters are needed, so you don’t need to worry about filter contamination, occlusion, or even something as basic as changing one out. With an eheat electric room heater, you’re set for success - and relief from allergies.
